How to Design Tricky Database Table? - accounting database design
I need advice with a sample database. I am developing a system for cars and car_make and car_model tables (which contain a reference to car_make) ... very simple.
My challenge is accounting for the year of manufacture. Most car manufacturers, that a particular model for several years. For example, the model Toyota Tacoma was established in 1995. How would you recommend for this account in the database schema - A year car_model multiple SPAN?
At the interface the user will be able to drill down by Brand -> Year -> Template. The models were filtered by year, and that in the course of a year may have been present.
What is the best way to explain this pattern in a database?

When you do something against the climate of the validation of a model of care will occur when you have to do the following.
